Regular cotton is heavily treated with various substances, most of them toxic, and machine-picked. Mother Sheep Organics cotton is never treated with any chemicals – no pesticides, chemicals or flame-retardants used in the sourcing and production of our fabrics. We use high-quality “long staple cotton” which is much more durable and software than regular “short staple” cotton (which comprises 90% of the world’s conventional cotton crop, and is made into cheap mass-produced clothing, towels and bed linens). The longer the strands, the more difficult to harvest, and everything must be hand-picked to avoid damage.

The Mother Sheep Organics Pillowcase fits toddler and travel pillows measuring up to 16″ x 20″. From the moment you unpack it, you can instantly tell how much love and care went into making each and every pillowcase. Our fabric is sourced from a G.O.T.S-certified (Global Organic Textile Standard) facility in Germany, and cut and sewn in Canada.

Care Instructions

• Machine gentle cycle, warm water
• Use mild soap such as Ivory, Tide Free, Linen Wash or Seventh Generation. Do not add bleach or fabric softener.
• Dry on gentle setting, moderate temperature. Remove immediately

To prevent piles and other micro-breakages forming, do not use abrasive soaps or bleach (note that acne medications and teeth whiteners usually contain bleach and other harsh chemicals).

When sleeping, wear nightwear made with natural fabrics. Do not add heavy or coarse items while washing your pillowcover, such as jeans or towels. You can iron when the fabric is slightly damp. With a little extra care, your pillowcase will last for many years!
